Comfy material, absorbent, there is cushioning yet it is thin enough to fit comfortably in most shoes and slippers. Gray color blends well with most of my clothes. Only thing I hate is that the top band is too constricting for me and I have to cut it off, but that's true for almost all my socks. Even cutting that off, they don't disintegrate in the washer or with wearing. Ive worn this model for years and I'm going back for more.I have used this sock for several years for trail hiking and running. It is a good blend of thin but with a little cushion. Probably too thin for boots and very rough trails but great with trail runner or light hiking shoes (Merrell Moab for ex.). I personally prefer the synthetic fabric blend vs. the many fine Merino socks b/c it does not shrink over time. This fabric also resists the matting down over time and use that Merinos get. These respond better to trail washing and drying than Merino which can get a little stiff on a long trek. This is my choice until they change 'em.Great fit, no bunching anywhere. No loose or hanging threads inside socks, comfort and durable. Last pair of this model that I had didn’t wear out for years.For years I've enjoyed wearing Thorlo's trecker socks with hiking boots.I decided to try these with walking/running shoes. THey're comfortable and give good cushioning despite light weight.I have the thicker versions of Thorlos hiking socks, but these are really nice for warmer months and mild hikes. The fit for my 11" feet is just right too.The one odd thing: I ordered two pair from Shoe Annex, one arrived today, and the other also sort of arrived, but UPS left me a note saying it requires signature.
