I bought some Johnston and Murphy shoes that were similar in design around the same time that I bought these. I paid more for the J&M shoes, and they were clearly inferior in every way. They squeaked, and the leather bunched in a baggy sort of way as I walked. They fit loose and slid around my feet a bit. The ECCO shoes, on the other hand, fit immaculately, do not squeak, and the leather quality is infinitely better. I only wipe them down with a dab of leather loation from time to time, and they still look great. I have 3 pairs of ECCO shoes that I have bought in the last 3 years. All three of different types. All 3 are top notch quality-wise and extremely comfortable. So long as they keep their commitment to quality, they have made a customer for life.Excellent shoes, they cost, but rather than buy cheap shoes that wear out fast, these will last a very long time, if not a lifetime. Always better to spend more on shoes that last, I love these, ECCO makes top quality shoes! This is a very high quality slip on that looks great. The materials and craftsmanship appear to be first rate. The fit is slightly loose on my feet when wearing thin socks, which aids in slipping them on. There's a little extra length by my toes, but it's not an issue for me. Despite the roominess, these slip ons are very stable and secure. My feet don't seem to move around in them and they are extremely comfortable. I normally wear size 11 men, and my feet are a bit wide. I went with size 45 EU and I would buy the same size again. If I didn't wear socks I would consider going with a smaller size.Once you have tried a pair of Ecco shoes, you will never want to buy anything else. Why? Because their leather is so soft, there is NO BREAK-IN REQUIRED -- none at all, from day one!I got these Collins 2.0 in black suede, and they are both exceptionally good-looking and supremely comfortable.Let me add that Amazon's low, low price aided my comfort as well.So if you're looking for a pair of slip-ons that look great and feel great from the git go -- look no further...I was looking for a dressy casual slip-on loafer with a sneaker type of sole. This really fit the bill. And on the first day I wore them, a lady complimented me on the shoes. I think it's rare for a lady to complement a man on his shoes. Made my day!Like the look. Takes a while to break in. It is excruciating to get into. Smaller than other Ecco slip-ons and less flexible. Once on, very comfortable. I only wear Ecco shoes since 2000, so I've had about 10 pairs since then. These are my second last liked pair of Ecco's.It is hard to imagine a pair of shoes fitting one's feet like gloves fit a hand, but these shoes come close. The fit is excellent, true to size. (I wear a size 9, and I purchased European size 42) The leather is soft and pliable. And the footbed is supportive and comfortable. Ecco will definitely get more of my shoe budget. As usual Ecco shoes fit me great very true to sizeI am a size 11 I order 11 and they Always fitNice shoe but a bit on the tight side. Gradual breaking in needed. Should be ready for next summer!I use them on my feet and they are superb - comfy and stylish .Very good quality, smart and reasonably priced shoes. Highly recommended.Very nice quality.Very comfortable, on time
